You are the Veteran Ranger, the leader of the NCR detachment of Rangers near Pahrump. Given a Ranger Star, a Sequoia Revolver and a pat on the back, you are part of a special team that specifically hunts and kills slavers and legionnaires. While the NCR is here to bring democracy, you are here to bring death to those trying to harm it.
Being the Veteran Ranger[]
1. Your First Job
The Difference between yourself and your constituent rangers is the fact that you are in a position of leadership and are telling them what to do.
Read the Recon Guide If you are unsure of what to do in early round.
Delegate responsibilities so that everyone isn't focused on the same objective.
By now you have a lot of experience with rangers, and even more with the NCR.
2.Your Other Job
You are the legion's worst fucking nightmare.
Your main goal is Sabotaging, Terrorizing, and Demoralizing the Legion because you hate them with an iron passion. Maybe they killed your dog. Maybe you're a former slave. Whatever it is, the very sight of legionary equipment fills you >a memorable reason< for your calculated, unbridled vengeance against the legion. Weaken the legion and cripple their ability to operate outside of their base.
We have a few tips for a fun round
Drag a fuel tank to their base. Shoot it and run away. Good work. you've made the touchdown a little easier for the bears and they totally didn't expect it at all
Make them think they are being raided, only for nothing to happen.Do This Constantly.
Recon the base. wait for someone to run off by themselves. Attempt to arrest. Return the head.
Sneak into the base, exfiltrate slaves, poison food, destroy equipment, break a recruit's heart. Get out alive.
But ultimately, the best guns and the best armor in the game is at your disposal. So really, it's up to you.
Chain of Command[]
The NCR Rangers operate almost entirely outside of the normal NCR army. They do not follow normal military ranks. Rangers work alongside the local forces, and should cooperate with the CO wherever possible.
If there are no formal NCR officers present, a Veteran Ranger may take command of the NCR base, but may not perform field punishments beyond brigging.
